A natural process (Oxidation)

Copper reacts to water and oxygen. It is therefore completely normal for dark spots, streaks, or a greenish haze to appear on the inside of the bowl over time. This oxidation process is a natural characteristic of copper and has no negative effect on the safety or quality of the drinking water.
