Propolis has been known for its medicinal properties for centuries. Ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans used propolis to treat ulcers, bruises, eczema, muscle pain, and various inflammations.
Propolis is produced by bees mixing plant resin with their enzymes. This mixture contains both the bees' natural defenses and the immune properties of the plants. The purpose of propolis is to create a sterile environment in the beehive.
New Zealand propolis contains exceptionally high levels of beneficial flavonoids and phenolic acids. The unique climatic conditions result in a composition that differs significantly from propolis from other parts of the world. This makes New Zealand propolis particularly effective and rich in bioactive compounds such as CAPE.
Today, propolis is recognized as a natural powerhouse for supporting the immune system and promoting overall health.
Propolis is normally supplied as a tincture, but this variant is alcohol-free, making it suitable for a wider audience and providing ideal support for the whole family.
Usage and dosage:
Propolis tincture is the most potent propolis for internal use.
No fixed dosage is recommended; sometimes a few drops of the tincture (1-3x per day) are sufficient, sometimes larger quantities are needed.
It is recommended to start with approx. 15 drops per day for adults, and reduce this to 5 drops twice a day, with the last dose before bedtime. For children under 12, there are no fixed standards, but often half the adult dosage is applied here.
Drip the propolis on bread or in your smoothie. On a (plastic) spoon or directly in the mouth is also possible. Dissolving in water does not work.
Do not use if allergic to propolis.
