Body and face

Break off a piece of the soap and rub it between your hands. Then apply the lather to a damp face. For an extra deep cleansing, let the lather absorb. African Black Soap may sting a little at first use as your skin adjusts to it. Rinse the soap off with plenty of lukewarm water. We recommend starting with once a week and gradually increasing the usage.

For use in your hair, mix a small amount of the soap with a few drops of argan oil. Use it as you would shampoo.

It is best to store the rest of the soap in a dry place so that it does not become soft.

For example, use African Black Soap in combination with our 100% organic Shea Butter or Jojoba Oil. Apply this to your skin after washing to nourish and hydrate it.

Why is African Black Soap so good?
Because African black soap is packed with vitamins A and E, it's a real boon for your skin. Vitamin A helps your skin produce collagen, keeps it firm, and prevents premature aging. Vitamin E hydrates and improves your skin's texture.

You can use African Black Soap to strengthen and soften your skin and for pimples and impurities.

How is African Black Soap made?
Black soap is made from the ashes of local plants and barks such as plantains, cocoa pod husks, and palm fronds. The leaves and bark are first sun-dried and then roasted in a pot at a constant temperature, which is important for achieving the right color and texture. Water and oils (coconut oil, palm kernel oil, shea butter) are then added and stirred for at least a day. The soap is "stored" for two weeks and is then ready to use.

The palm oil used in the black soap comes from small communities, locally produced in Ghana. So, no monoculture like the large plantations that have such a bad reputation.
