More about cedarwood essential oil

Cedarwood essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the wood of the cedar tree. The cedar grows in cold climates and at high altitudes, such as the Himalayas, where our cedarwood essential oil comes from. Himalayan cedarwood essential oil is slightly sweeter and has stronger middle notes than Atlas cedarwood essential oil.

Cedarwood essential oil has a great many uses and has a purifying effect, making the oil a good addition for blemishes. Cedarwood oil is particularly useful for high sebum production.

Cedarwood is also indispensable for healthier hair. It strengthens the hair follicles and stimulates circulation in your scalp, making it useful for reduced hair growth.

Use

When using essential oil on your skin, always dilute it in a carrier oil, such as almond or jojoba oil, and use no more than 1 - 2% (1 - 2 ml essential oil per 100 ml carrier oil).

Apply the oil where needed to cleansed skin. For use on your scalp, you can also add a few drops of cedarwood essential oil to your shampoo or conditioner.

To inhale the essential oil, use it in an oil burner/diffuser or a scent block.

Gebruik etherische olie niet onverdund op de huid en niet inwendig. Meng voor gebruik op de huid altijd met een basisolie.
