Why drink from copper?

In Ayurveda, water that has stood overnight in a copper vessel is called 'Tamra Jal'. According to this age-old tradition, copper water helps keep the three doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) in balance. Copper is also known for its antibacterial surface. For many people, drinking from copper is above all a mindful daily ritual: filling the bottle in the evening, setting out the cups and starting the morning with a glass of water.

Pure & handmade

The bottle and cups are handmade from 100% copper. The inside is untreated copper; the outside is lightly lacquered so that the shine lasts longer. Because they are handmade, no two pieces are exactly alike. Small irregularities are part of it and make your set unique.

A living material

Copper reacts with water and oxygen. Over time, dark spots, smudges or a greenish haze may appear on the inside. This is called oxidation. It is a natural process, not harmful, and proof that you are dealing with real copper.
