Why drink from copper?

In Ayurveda, water that has been stored overnight in a copper vessel is called 'Tamra Jal'. According to this age-old tradition, copper water helps keep the three doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) in balance. Copper is also known for its antibacterial surface. For many people, drinking from copper is above all a mindful daily ritual: fill the bottle in the evening and start the morning with a glass of water.

Pure & handmade

Each bottle is handmade from 100% copper. The inside is untreated copper; the outside is lightly lacquered so the shine lasts longer. Because it is handcrafted, no two bottles are exactly alike. Small irregularities are part of it and make your bottle unique.

A living material

Copper reacts to water and oxygen. Over time, dark spots, streaks or a greenish haze may appear on the inside. This is called oxidation. It is a natural process, not harmful, and proof that you are dealing with real copper.

For water only: Copper is not suitable for milk, citrus juices, acidic liquids or carbonated drinks. Use the bottle exclusively for water.

Not dishwasher safe: Always clean the bottle by hand with room temperature water, a mild natural soap, and a soft sponge.

Maintenance: Do you want to make the exterior shine extra brightly again? Then occasionally use a special copper polish. Do not expose the bottle to direct sunlight.

Leak-proof: The cap is fitted with a subtle rubber sealing rim (0.4%), so you can take the bottle with you without worry.
