Which dishes go well with organic whole thyme?

Thyme originates from the Mediterranean region and parts of Asia. It is a particularly popular ingredient in Italian cuisine. Italians love to stir the aromatic leaves into oven dishes and sauces and sprinkle them over their pizzas. Thyme is also ideally suited to meat and fish. Lamb, poultry, game and pork go perfectly with its floral, lemony aroma. Together with wine, the herb forms an almost magical combination, for example in slow-cooked stews. Thyme also works excellently in soups, potato dishes and vegetarian dishes.

The optimal flavour of organic whole thyme

The leaves are harvested just before the plant flowers, which is exactly when their flavour is at its peak. After drying, the leaves are not ground, so whole thyme retains its aroma longer than ground thyme. Rub the leaves briefly between your fingers before use to release the aroma immediately.
