What is the best water filter for me?

You've made up your mind: I'm going to buy a water filter! Great, but then the next question arises: which water filter is the best? In your search for a suitable water filter, you'll quickly discover that there are tons of options and possibilities. Different sizes, systems, materials... So which is truly the best water filter for you?

Spoiler alert: there's no one size fits all. The best water filter is the one that fits your life. Your family, your water consumption, your space, your needs, and your lifestyle. In this blog, we'll help you discover which water filter is right for you, whether you live alone, have a family, exercise a lot, or are looking for a system for your workplace.

How much water do you drink in a day?

On average, as an adult, you drink about one and a half to two liters of water per day. But if you exercise a lot, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding, that likely increases. And if you also want to use filtered water for cooking, coffee, and tea, you'll use even more. Just calculate: how many liters of water does your household use per day? And how much of that do you want to get from a water filter?

For one to two people who primarily drink filtered water, a compact filter like the Aqualine 5 is more than sufficient. Do you drink a lot or also want to be able to cook with filtered water without constantly refilling it? Then a larger-capacity model, such as the Aqualine 12 or Aqualine 18, is probably more suitable.

At home or at the office?

A water filter for your home has different requirements than one for a shared workspace. At home, you want the system to fit your kitchen, both in terms of size and appearance. Glass is often preferred for its neutral taste and appearance. Do you also want to drink filtered water at the office? A larger tank, such as the Aqualine 18 , is useful in the office, allowing multiple people to use it without constantly refilling.

Do you work from home and want a system that you can simply place on your countertop, without installation or hassle? Then you'll be happy with any Aqualine model. An Aqualine 5 fits perfectly on an average-sized countertop. The 12 and 18 are larger, so check carefully if you have the space, especially in smaller kitchens. The glass models are slightly heavier and more fragile, while the ABS versions are lighter and slightly easier to maintain, which can be useful if the system is moved frequently or placed in a cluttered spot.

Alkaline or pH neutral?

Perhaps you want more than just clean water. Alkaline water, which is slightly basic, can contribute to a better acid-base balance in your body. This is something you can choose, for example, with the Neos or other Aqualine models with a Redox filter. If this is important to you, it's a good idea to consider it carefully beforehand.

Are you more of a "keep it simple" type? Then pH-neutral water might be a better fit. It's easy to drink and reliably pure. Most Aqualine water filters offer both options, so you can choose what suits you best!

The best water filter is the one that's right for you

Sounds cheesy , right? But there is a system that suits you. Small and compact? Then the Aqualine 5 is your match. A powerhouse for the whole family? Check out the Aqualine 12 or 18. And if you really want to go all-in on mineralization and vitalization? Then the Aqualine Neos might be your next step.
