Aqualine waterfilter vervangen

Replace Aqualine water filter

A water filter lasts a long time and does its job excellently, but at some point you'll notice the water tastes less fresh, the flow slows down, or the bottom tank no longer fills completely. In such cases, cleaning is sometimes no longer enough, and it's time to replace parts. But how do you know which part needs replacing and when? In this blog post, we'll explain!

The importance of replacing your water filter on time

An Aqualine water filter purifies tap water in multiple steps. It removes unwanted substances like chlorine, pesticides, and microplastics, while simultaneously adding essential minerals. However, all these layers have a limited lifespan. Filters become saturated or lose their effectiveness over time. By replacing them regularly, you ensure your water remains clean, mineral-rich, and soft.

There are several signs that components are no longer functioning optimally. Think of a noticeable slowdown in water flow or a change in smell or taste. Sometimes you'll also see visual cues, such as biofilm in the tank or a ceramic filter that still doesn't drain properly after cleaning. In many cases, the best guideline is simply: how long have you been using the filter? Many components have a recommended replacement interval, regardless of whether they still appear "in good condition."

Different parts, different lifespans

You can clean the ceramic filter periodically by gently scrubbing it under running water. However, it usually needs replacing after six to twelve months, especially if it starts to become porous or water barely flows through.

The multi-stage filter, which contains activated carbon and magnesium beads, has a shorter lifespan. This cartridge absorbs contaminants from the water and therefore becomes saturated after about six months. You often notice this as a duller taste or an irregular water flow.

Elvan mineral stones, which restore natural minerals, last two to three years. You can clean them in between by rinsing or boiling them in water with a little salt, but over time the mineral release diminishes.

Aqualine's alkaline models have a pH ring that increases the acidity of the water. This ring should be replaced approximately once a year to maintain proper functioning. Rinse the ring occasionally under cold water to prevent deposits.

For Aqualine Neos users, there's an additional feature: the IER filter. This resin filter must be regenerated monthly with a saline solution and replaced annually to maintain its effectiveness.

What replacement kits are available for your Aqualine water filter?

Ready-to-use replacement kits are available for every Aqualine model. These kits contain all the parts you need to completely renew your system. Kits are available for the Aqualine 5, Aqualine 12 , Aqualine 18 , and Aqualine Neos . Depending on your model, the kit includes a ceramic filter, a new multi-step filter, a pH ring (for the alkaline version), and a new set of Elvan mineral stones.

When choosing a replacement set, pay close attention to whether you're using the glass or ABS model, and whether you originally opted for the pH-neutral or alkaline version. If you're unsure, please feel free to contact us.

Replacing it yourself is easier than you think

Replacing the filters and parts is a simple job you can do yourself, without tools or technical expertise. Your replacement kit includes instructions explaining how to remove, clean, and reassemble the parts correctly. You can rinse the parts thoroughly before use.

By replacing it on time, you ensure that your filter continues to do what it is intended to do: clarity, purity and support of your health.
