Cedarwood essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the wood of the cedar tree. Cedar grows in cold climates and at high altitudes, such as the Himalayas, where our cedarwood essential oil originates. Himalayan cedarwood essential oil is slightly sweeter and has stronger middle notes than Atlas cedarwood essential oil.

Cedarwood essential oil has many uses and purifying properties, making it a good addition to blemishes. Cedarwood oil is particularly effective against high sebum production.

Cedarwood is also essential for healthier hair. It strengthens hair follicles and stimulates blood circulation in your scalp, making it useful for treating poor hair growth.

Usage

When using essential oil on your skin, always dilute it in a carrier oil, such as almond or jojoba oil, and do not use more than 1-2% (1-2ml essential oil per 100ml carrier oil).

Apply the oil to cleansed skin as needed. For use on your scalp, you can also add a few drops of cedarwood essential oil to your shampoo or conditioner.

To inhale the essential oil, use it in an oil lamp/diffuser or a fragrance block.
